Rae Lakes Loop

Last month I went to California to do a backpacking trip through Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park via the popular Rae Lakes Loop which is a 41.4 mile loop through some of the most gorgeous views one can set upon via foot.   The adventure was nothing short of spectacular.  We got to get off the grid and live in nature for 5 days and
"disconnect" from our normal city lives, carrying everything we needed to survive on our backs.  I'll be straight up and say it was hard as heck.  It was challenging, there were times when I was climbing straight up to an elevation of over 11,000 feet and I wanted to quit. My body endured a physical challenge that I never put it though. It was worth it and it was extremely awarding. It is a trip that I will never forget and I made some unforgettable memories with my wife, my awesome aunt who came along as our experienced guide and the many of conversations that I had with random strangers on the trail who were all there in the wild with pretty much the same thing in common, to be in nature.

If you are interested in his hike, plan in advance and check out more information at The Outbound. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
